Mohamed Abdi Gurhan, Director General of The Ministry
Mr. Gurhan is a consummate Public Finance practitioner, who started his career at the Ministry of Finance as Assistant Senior
Budget Advisor and rose through the ranks as Director of Inland Revenue, Customs Manager of Berbera Ports and Regional Coordinator for the Somaliland Ministry of Finance.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Gurhan was Documentation and Customer Service Manager of DP World Berbera, where he gained invaluable experience in business development, customer relationship management and tapped from his experience within the Somaliland Public Service to foster stronger relationships with the government authorities and general public.
He earned a BA in Business Administration at the University of Hargeisa and a MBA in Project Management from the Open University of Malaysia
